A Play for Very Young Audiences and Their Grown-ups
Who says theatre is just for big kids? Not us! Play Date: Blue-Theatre for Very Young Children is an engaging and endearing play created especially for our youngest audience members and their grown-ups. This is the final fall event in our new Play Date series, designed for very young audiences (ages 0–5) and their caregivers, offering gentle, interactive arts experiences that invite curiosity, movement, and play.
Meet Sparkly Blue and Inky Blue, who live and play in a world where everything is—yes—blue! But one day, a bright red sock appears, and their world begins to change. As Sparkly Blue and Inky Blue explore this new discovery, they learn to embrace a world full of color, curiosity, and possibility.
This gentle, interactive performance invites families to experience theatre together in a way that is playful, imaginative, and perfectly suited for little ones.
Each Play Date takes place on a designated Saturday morning and typically includes two 45-minute performances at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person and are designed with families in mind; a ticket to this event covers the whole morning of performances. Families are welcome to attend either performance—or stay and enjoy both—creating a flexible experience that works for their schedule and their child’s needs.
